Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026. This policy covers the KubeDrive app, kubedrive.com and api.kubedrive.com, run by AKStudio, Yerevan, Armenia ("we"), which is responsible for the data described here.

The short version

  • KubeDrive talks to your Kubernetes clusters directly from your Mac, with your own credentials. Nothing about your clusters — names, resources, logs, YAML, secrets — is sent to us.
  • We only process data to sign you in and to give you the plan you are entitled to.
  • We do not sell data, show tracking ads or use analytics in the app.

What the app connects to

  • Your clusters, through your kubeconfig. To show status, it sends an anonymous /version request to each API server once a minute while the Clusters screen is open.
  • GitHub, to check for updates, only if you allow automatic checks or check by hand.
  • api.kubedrive.com, only when you sign in, start a trial, buy or manage Pro, or renew a Pro or trial license (about once a day while signed in).

What we store on api.kubedrive.com

  • Your email address, to identify your account and send sign-in links.
  • A device identifier: a one-way keyed hash of your Mac's hardware ID, so a license works on the devices you signed in on. It cannot be turned back into the hardware ID.
  • The name of your Mac as the app reports it (for example "MacBook Pro"), shown on the sign-in page and in sign-in emails.
  • Sign-in records: when codes and links were created and used, and when each device was last seen. Codes, links and session tokens are stored only as hashes.
  • Your plan: trials, and subscriptions with their status and renewal date.

Your IP address is used, in memory only, to limit how often sign-in requests can be made; we do not store it with your account.

Payments

Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd) sells KubeDrive Pro as merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy; we receive your email address, your subscription's status and, where Paddle provides it, your country. We never see your card details.

Service providers

  • DigitalOcean — servers and database (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Cloudflare — network and protection in front of our servers and this website.
  • Resend — delivery of sign-in emails.
  • Paddle — payments, as described above.

How long we keep data

Account data stays while your account exists. Expired sign-in codes and links are deleted automatically. Server logs are kept for at most 30 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its data within 30 days, except records that Paddle or the law requires to be kept.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or the deletion of your account at support@kubedrive.com. Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EU and the UK — you can also object to the processing, ask for it to be restricted, and complain to your data protection authority.

This website

kubedrive.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Fonts are served from this site. The only third-party script is Paddle.js on the checkout page (/buy), which Paddle uses to take payment under its own privacy policy.
